Welcome to your redesigned Health Sciences website

University of Arizona Health Sciences

Who doesn’t love a stylish new look as the seasons change? The Health Sciences Office of Communications is no different. We are pleased to share with you our newly revamped website designed to serve you better.

On our home page, you’ll notice a new box at the top of the page called Internal Resources. This is your one-stop shopping link to everything you’ll need. In this area of the Health Sciences website, you’ll find your favorite stories and features, announcements, honors and awards and more.

What’s new

The new stories and features link takes you to the landing page for Health Sciences Connect, the hub for stories about the people of the Health Sciences colleges, honors and awards, multimedia content like the award-winning I Am Health Sciences video series and photo galleries capturing life around the Tucson and Phoenix campuses.

Announcements have a new home of their own, too. Here you can find news and information from our six colleges, as well as alerts from Human Resources, Parking & Transportation and more. Looking for the events calendar? Click on the drop down that says Calendar so you don’t miss a thing. Grand Rounds can also be found on this page.

We’ve also created an easier link to find messages from Michael D. Dake, MD, our senior vice president for UArizona Health Sciences. In the future, these messages will receive a more prominent display on our landing page so you won’t miss out.

You can now see all of our videos on a playlist right on that landing page. No need to search, we’ve taken care of that for you.

Making it easier for you to find what you need to do your job better, we’ve gathered administrative tools in the same Internal Resources button links to event planning, room scheduling, directories, IT and classroom support, planning and facilities and the Health Sciences style guide and social media toolkit.

External content

We weren’t done with just the internal buffing and polishing. We’ve redesigned the Newsroom, too. What was formerly the Impact menu tab is now News. You can find UArizona Health Sciences external content – stories, videos, The Healthy Dose Blog, news releases, media mentions, media resources and contact information – all in one place.

The new news page features UArizona Health Sciences stories and news releases, with an updated navigation menu to direct you to separate archives of each. Under the Stories tab, you’ll find compelling features about the work being done, and the people doing it, within the UArizona Health Sciences strategic initiatives. The News Releases tab will take you to up-to-date news articles from UArizona Health Sciences, as well as our colleges, centers and institutes.

The Videos tab will take you directly to the UArizona Health Sciences YouTube channel, where you will find several playlists of exciting video content including short stories, archived lectures, animations, science explainers and more.

The Healthy Dose Blog highlights expert commentary and general health information from faculty, staff and students across UArizona Health Sciences. You can search by topic to find the exact content you are looking for with a simple click.

In addition to the News Release tab, the Media Resources and Get In Touch tab were designed to help journalists easily find the information they need to cover the exciting work being done at UArizona Health Sciences.

Finally, the UArizona Health Sciences strategic initiatives are now easier to access from the main navigation menu by clicking on Initiatives. A drop-down menu highlights the websites of individual initiatives, while the Overview tab contains explanations of each of the UArizona Health Sciences’ strategic initiatives under our five brand themes: Next-Generation Education, Personalized Health Care for All, Innovations in Healthy Aging, Creating Defenses Against Disease and New Frontiers for Better Health.
