AHSC Departmental Web Sites

Any AHSC administrative unit, including any AHSC college, department, section, center or division, may create electronic home pages, publications pages, or other pages that carry out official AHSC business in support of the AHSC mission. It is important for unit home pages to be current and accurate.

Any AHSC administrative unit is entitled to have an account on the AHSC Web server with links to the official AHSC Web structure. Departments may also be able to have a URL that reflects the department name.
(Example: Department of Pediatrics http://www.peds.arizona.edu)

The responsibility for ensuring that the information on a unit's Web site is current and accurate lies with the unit.  Units are encouraged to contact the AHSC webmaster if they have questions about how to maintain their Web site.   Questions regarding the contents of a unit's Web site will be referred to the unit.

The AHSC Web site is public. Web pages on the AHSC server can be viewed by anyone.  Units are cautioned to use discretion when determining what information is appropriate to publish via the AHSC Web and to consider other methods of transmittal when appropriate.

Units are urged to develop Web pages that are professional looking and that follow The University of Arizona style guidelines including the use of the UA and AHSC word marks.

All AHSC units should have on the home page of their Web site links to both the University of Arizona home page (www.arizona.edu) and the AHSC home page (www.ahsc.arizona.edu).  Additionally, all units within the College of Medicine should have on the home page of their Web site a link to the College of Medicine (www.medicine.arizona.edu).

For more information on AHSC Web guidelines, see the AHSC Style Guide [pdf].

For information on setting up a departmental web site or updating an existing site, see AHSC Web Services.

Personal Web pages for AHSC Personnel

AHSC faculty or staff members may create personal Web pages on the official AHSC Web server. AHSC personnel are responsible for abiding by applicable UAInfo Web page policy and for respecting copyright laws and regulations on the use of University logos and word marks.

Views expressed on personal Web pages are strictly those of the authors and concerns regarding materials on personal pages should be addressed to them. Nothing in these personal Web pages should give the impression they are officially sanctioned by The University of Arizona or the Arizona Health Sciences Center and a disclaimer to that effect should appear at the bottom of every personal home page.
