Arizona Health Sciences Center Facts

The University of Arizona Health Sciences Center is a thriving academic health sciences center with a growing network of health-related organizations and activities unique in the state and region. Providing state-of-the-art patient care, education and outreach for the people of Arizona and beyond, UAHSC includes the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson; the UA College of Medicine – Phoenix; the UA College of Nursing; the UA College of Pharmacy; the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health; and the University of Arizona Health Network.

Most of these entities are located on about 48 acres of the UA campus in Tucson, Arizona. AHSC enrolls 665 medical students in Tucson and Phoenix (including 30 dual-degree students); more than 550 undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate nursing students; more than 430 PharmD and graduate-level students in the pharmaceutical sciences; and 324 undergraduate and graduate public health students. A major economic engine for the state of Arizona, AHSC garnered almost $154 million in research grants and contracts in FY10.
